Your Likes: Easy to use, easy to set up, and overall sturdy build.  Step-by-step instructions included with kit.
Your Dislikes: Barrel adapter collars require the use of a very small screw which could be easily lost or damaged.  Absence of a .17 caliber adapter may be a problem for some gun owners.

Additional Comments:  It bears repeating that before ANY work is performed on any firearm, make sure that the firearm is completely unloaded and that no ammunition is present!  Check twice for safety sake!

Setting up the Cabela's Laser Boresighter is fairly straightforward and easy.  By using one of the four (4) supplied bore adapters, the Cabela's Laser Boresighter can be adjusted to fit any firearm with a 4" long or longer barrel, from .22 caliber up to .50 caliber.  The plastic adapter bushings expand as they are attached to the narrow end of the boresighter.  The further they are threaded on, the more they expand, giving an infinite range of sizes the device will fit from it's minimum to it's maximum.  About the only drawback to this system is that it requires the use, and more importantly, the retention of, multiple small parts.  The screws and bushings are quite small, and I suspect, easily lost.  Without these parts, the boresighter becomes nothing more than an expensive laser pointer.

Once the boresighter is assembled properly, fitting and installing it into the bore of your firearm is quite easy.  I would caution the user to make sure they have the adapter bushing expanded in a way that they get a good, snug fit, otherwise it's possible for the boresighter to slip out of the end of the barrel and potentially damage the unit.  This snug fit is essential for using the Scope Reticle Leveler Attachment which simply slips over the end of the unit.  Once correct fit is achieved, powering up the unit with the Scope Reticle Leveler Attachment installed casts a powerful, red horizontal beam on whatever flat surface you point the gun at.  The scope can then easily be rotated in it's mounts to line the reticle up with the horizontal beam.  Once proper alignment is achieved, the scope can be tightened in the mounting rings.

After removing the Scope Reticle Leveler Attachment, actual boresighting is achieved by simply stepping off 30 feet, attaching the supplied aiming grid to a wall or other vertical surface at that distance, then aiming through the scope, and making the proper windage and elevation adjustments.  The kit includes step by step instructions for scope leveling and boresighting which, if followed, insure quick, accurate results.  I was able to go from unopened package, to leveled and boresighted scope in a matter of minutes my very first time using the device.

In conclusion, as long as you can keep track of the multiple small parts, this reasonably priced boresighter should provide you with good service.  It is built from strong, machined aluminum and has a powerful built-in laser that provides a strong beam for easy sighting.  It includes easy to understand instructions and is versatile enough to use on most any firearm you might want to mount a scope on, although for some, a .17 caliber option would probably be nice.  All in all, the Cabela's Laser Boresighter with Reticle Leveler Attachment would be a great addition to anyone's gun care kit, and should save both time and money at the shooting range.
