The dedicated rifleman and predator hunter I am led me to a search for an accurate varmint/predator rifle in 204 Ruger caliber soon after this round was introduced in the marketplace by Ruger.  Several friends encouraged me to check out a CZ 527 .204 Ruger Varmint rifle.  They were impressed by the accuracy of the CZ rifles they owned.  So I soon ended up with a CZ Varmint model 527 in .204 caliber.  Right out of the box with no special tuning the rifle shot 1/2" groups or better at 100 meters with factory 32 gr Hornady ammo.  I, too, soon became a fan of CZ rifles.  That rifle was followed by the purchases of another CZ 527 in one of my all-time favorite calibers, the .222 Rem.  With careful handloads this slim, lightweight rifle also was a half-minute of angle shooter.  Needless to say, I was elated.  When CZ intoduced the .223 ultra lightweight predator 527 in West Camo I had to have one.  Again, another superbly accurate varmint/predator rifle joined my rifle battery.  Although I haven't been able to develop loads quite as accurate as with the 204 and 222 I believe it will happen with new loads for the 223 I'm testing using the new 8028 XBR powder that many are raving about.
The only downside for me with the 222 and 204 527's was the extended 5 shot magazine the protruded below the action alongside a slot cut in the trigger guard.  I've never been a fan of extended magazine rifles other than the AR.  I remedied this by sending off the magazine, magazine release and triggerguard of each of those rifles to RVB Precision who modified the magazines down to a flush finish with the rifles, modified and coated the trigger guards with KG GunKote 1600 Teflon semi gloss finish which matches the finish of these rifles perfectly and modified the magazine releases.  The turn-a-round time was exceptionally fast on the return parts and everything worked perfect.  This turned these rifles into wonderful lightweight and handsome carry rifles that have become favorites of mine.  The .223 Predator rifle is manufactured with a flush 3 shot magazine...the only one so made in their 527 American line.
All in all, I can't help but recommend these rifles to any varmint/predator hunter.

The only CZ I ever shot was a .17 HMR bolt-action.  Don't even recall what model it was, but I do remember we were easily plinking tin cans 60 yards out from an off-hand position.  It was quite the shooter.

I had a CZ 375 H&H. I could still kick myself in the butt for getting rid of it. The quality was exceptional.
