In the past I was a huge waterfowl hunter that was pretty much all I did.  No trapping and hardly no deer hunting.  In those years I ran the gauntlet of labs.  Yellow lab, then black lab and the last was a chocalote.  Always said if I were to get another hunting dog my passion for waterfowl would come back.  The other day while I was eating a very good friend of mine said he was going to have some pups in the next few months hopefully and asked if I wanted one.  Well I have always for whatever reason wanted a chesapeake and it looks as if things go as planned I will.  Thinking of picking a male if I get that chance and his name will be Dezel or Diesel.

A dentist friend of mine a number of years ago had a Chessie.  He didn't hunt but the dog was a great family pet.

Given your extreme nature a male Chessie would be a good fit. Enjoy!
