Went coon hunting lastnight and got to take a pic of this rub my cousin found right before rifle season. We put a cam on it for a few days and never got a pic of the culprit.

No beaver! This is the exact same pine thicket that we found a similiar rub in 2 years ago. Found it the friday before rifle season. We hung a climber near it and 0730 opening morning he had a 140"+ eight layin on the ground. My cousin said the buck was heading right for the rubbed tree. However it wasn't quite as big as the one in this pic.

I was actually just kidding.  That is a huge rub, and you can bet the deer that made it is no slouch.  We've found a couple on similar sized trees here on our place over the last few years, and we've had some real brutes running around here.  I doubt you'll ever see a little fork-horn working over a tree like that. wink
