I talked in another post about setting up 2 new stands about a week ago.  One on a corn field where I sat the other night and let a decent 8 pt. live another year.  My dad called today said he wanted to go and sit in the other one with the standing bean food plot.  Pretty cold to be bowhunting this week, but the deer will be in the food plots.  Dad called about 5:00 said he needed help.  We tracked him into the thickest stuff you ever saw.  As we were tracking him my Dad said if we find him do not laugh.  Right, that was a give away.

Will be in Dad's top 2 or 3 deer.  20 3/4" wide on the inside.  14 scorable points.  Will score him tomorrow when I cape him, but roughly 160ish maybe more, no less.

We are from Howard County.  Located right on the MO River in central MO.  Caped him this morning but only had a chance to rough score him again as we took him, a bobcat and badger to the taxidermist and had to get back to pick up the kids from school.  Still will score around the 160" range or so.  A  good deer especially with bow.
Will keep you all posted if we knock down another.

Good luck to all

Mid-Mo I am familiar with Howard county....the wife and I are both grads of Central Methodist in Fayette.
We were there in October for our 40th reunion at homecomming.  Saw a bunch of my fraternity brothers that I haven't seen in years and a number of guys I played footbal with as well.  Also saw Paul Howell and his sister Annette.  Paul and a brother still farm the family farm (about 1200 acres).  They raise beef cattle and corn and hay to feed them.  I suppose they also raise some deer but we didn't discuss that.  I was more interested in their quail population which I think is pretty good.  Now I need an invite.

I know of some Powell's right on the south side of Fayette.  I was born and raised in Glasgow and now live in the country around Armstrong.
Around the vicinity of the Powell's there was a good deer taken during rifle season.  Scores around the unbelievable mark of 250 inches.  An absolute monster.

Forgot to add I went to college at CMC also
