Glad to hear he is doing ok KK. Man they just don't have enough sense to be careful do they. Amazing how that dry CRP can tear them up the way it does too.  How do his feet hold up?  This is my worst thing with two of my three dogs. They just wear the fur off of their feet and especially right around the toe nails.

We did have a good weekend though.  Got a new hunter his first Quail, Pheasant and Duck and we have him hooked.

I think it's an acronym for conservation reserve program.  It's basically a government program administered by the state conservation agency that pays land owners so much per acre to NOT plant a portion of their land and leave it for wildlife habitat.  Someone else may have more of the particulars.

Ahhh I see.. Yea I've heard of that before... Now that poses the questiom why would the government not want u to farm land??

So they don't have to bail out farmers when crop prices hit the floor. Farmers these days can yield much better than they used too and in less time. Also it is a huge gain for the environment and prairie wildlife. http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/programs/CRP/
