I had a feeling I could find some so I made an attempt today while driving back to Missouri from a NUCS Event.  ( Tournament Hunt)

Took 10 min to get the first flush and finished the limit in 30 min.  Yep... there are woodcock in Kansas.

Thanks Tomkat.

I figured it was safe to post the name of the location with the birds.  Only 14,000 acres there and probably no one cares about hunting woodcock anyway.   I think there are more birds coming through Kansas than most would think.    It is fun to do something a little different.  However, this coming weekend, I will be in western kansas chasing pheasants.
