I know a guy who has over a thousand acres 10 miles south of the Iowa border about mid state or maybe a little closer to Kirksville...he has never invited me to hunt there but has given me a couple of deer....he loves to hunt but doesn't like deer meat....I'm not sure how many racks he could list in the B&C book but he has a basement full of  antlers most of us would have mounted plus he has mounted more than he can hang in his house.....North Mo is definitely Big Buck country.....Ben you are I'm sure pleased that your family has a great place to hunt.....my Dad left some wise investments but I wish he would have invested the same amount of money in farm property and likewise I wish I would have known earlier in life to buy some $100 an acre ground that you can't touch for $2500 today......

Ben I hope you can post one of those pictures in a couple of weeks hanging from the BUCK pole.....

Would it still be fun if it was that easy?  Odds are I won't see many of those bucks. Chances are that the mangled 6 will probably run the others off.

One is all you need to see.....and you know they have been there....several of the deer shown on Shoffner's trail cams have been harvested.....both deer in the fighting pic 3 years ago were harvested...2 or 3 from last years pics were taken and Tim's bow deer a week ago showed up several times earlier this year and I'm planning on taking the tall 8 in a couple of weeks...LOL....GOOD LUCK BEN....

Well........actually, Tim's bow deer has never been caught on camera.  What this means to the conversation is that even though you haven't seen it on camera doesn't mean it isn't there........you never know what's going to walk by.  The cameras are there for insentive and that is what it takes to get someone in the woods....a reason! ! !

yea i put my trail cam out there and checked it after a few days and it had 26 pictures on it.  I went home and looked at the pics...NOTHING.... all because of tree and stick movement i guess... has anyone found that the sun trips it?

Hey Anthony......why don't you take this question and start a new thread in the trail cams section.  I think it may get some traffic and do pretty good and that way we don't derail this thread! ! ! big grin big grin big grin
