Went to dad's today to drop off his bday present and Test fire a new unexpected purchase. CZ PO7 but I'll talk about it later. We went out and swapped the memory cards on the deer camera and quickly ran home like a kid at christmas to see what nature had left me. Hands down the best set of pics I've ever gotten.  60 percent of the pics where good bucks.  Honestly more horns than I've ever seen there.

This dude is a beast.

After studying the pics I've decided that the big 8 pointer broke off one of his eye tines.  DANG IT.

Very nice, Ben!  Glad you're seeing some bucks.  The pics of the two bucks sparring are great!

There's 6 pics of the bucks sparring. Surprising to see the bachelor groups still intact.  I was really liking the giant 8 for a wall hanger but since he snapped off one of his eye tines I'm looking at the 12 pointer.  Don't have a wallhanger yet but have a new house to put one.  Not saying that the 8 pointer is safe though. The point restrictions and land changing ownership have really helped the amount of antlers in the area.  Next year the CPR land to the east will become pasture land for cattle making our little place a deer haven.

Yep, Good ole Northwest MO deer. Usually have one or 2 good ones around.  Last year a 200 incher was taken within a mile of there.

Anthony, most people don't give up their hunting area locations.....if you were to go onto the waterfowl board, you will notice that we "codename" our hunting areas, but we never mention them by place. Trust me, there is no lake named the BlackHole, but a handful of us know where it is  wink

I don't think Anthony wanted the dang GPS coordinates cookoo......A general area is probably what he was curious about! ! !

Since he only bow hunts he may be interested in the GPS co-ordinates along with permission to hunt after all the gun seasons.....might be cold by then though ... LOL....I have a pretty good place to hunt but I wouldn"t mind knowing a little more about Ben's hunting spot....just out of curiosity....and I never had any problem letting folks know where my dead ducks came from.....they came from a BLACK HOLE...

I live in Gladstone but hunt and grew up around Maryville.  I'm pretty sure that the antler growth this year will be pretty uniform across Missouri due to the 4 point rule. I'm not too worried about someone swiping my hunting spot. smile
