I have also noticed the reverse season. Hope to get after them next weekend...whats wrong with your wifE?

She developed an infection under her arm and it was spreading through her body causing nasia, vomet and fever and such. At first we thought it was just a flue bug but then the infection on her arm became more noticable.
We got the first anti bodiotic but turns out she's alergic to sulfa and she had some pretty bad reactions. So we went back yesturday to change the prescription and they had some concern that the infection may have gotten in the blood stream so they did some blood work. We haven't got all the test results back but got the first round and it shows evidence that the infection did not make it to her blood stream. She feels much better today just drained after not getting much sleep and the spot on her arm is going down already.
Thanks for asking TK

We were getting a little worried about the closing weekend. We scrambled tonight to find the X and didn't think we were going to get it as they got on ground they hadn't been on and neither have we. It took 1/2 tank of gas, 7 phone calls and dog bite on the leg  big grin but we got permission and we're good to go for tomorrow.  goofy

Good luck to everyone on the grand finale weekend!

Thank you Blue and I will. She's doing much better this week and this prescription seems to be working for her.

Jan 30 4 guns 5 geese
Shot a single and then had a small group about 30 seconds till sunset that came out and slid us a bit but we rolled 4 out of it. TK I have something better than pics of todays hunt  wink I'll send it to you when they get it cut.
Can't believe it but they didn't feed today. We watched them come out and go way south and then turn around and lite back in the roost. They have to be hungry tomorrow.

If they are hungry leave your calls at home and take a bugle and blow the MESS CALL.

Enjoy your day Scott and hope you bang a limit.

I'm sure geese are no different than ducks and any thing strange, moving or shiny will flare them for sure.  You can't be careful enough in either a blind or layout.  Also the farther you get into the season the more decoys they have seen and the more they have been shot at.  I think it's called education.

Education: Yes, by the end of thier season they have graduated with PHDs. Yesturday was proof of that. We shot a pair and then at sunset we decided to just lay there for a few to watch the absolute mass that was in the air at the moment. A solid 5 minutes after sunset 12 landed in the decoys.
