I got a request about making a squirrel call from bassvax so I told him I would let him hear what it sounds like.  I put this video together last night with a couple calls I make and I added a squirrel sound to it.  I went ahead and showed some predator distress sounds as well as the squirrel.

I would like to get everyone's opinion on these sounds.  I really like the cottontail sound but I am not quite sure about the jackrabbit.  The squirrel is right where I want it but if anyone has any suggestions on that then it might help fine tune it as well.

The main reason I did this is because I just got a new camcorder and I am just playing around experimenting with posting videos.

Let me know what y'all think.

Great video, Matt!  Excellent quality for sure.

As far as the calls go, they all sounded pretty good to me, but I am no expert mind you.  I had a squirrel call a number of years ago that had a little rubber bellows on it, kinda like a mouse squeaker, and the couple of times I used it, it seemed to work pretty good.  I would suspect that you could reproduce barks with the squirrel call that you made with a little practice.

The rabbit squeelers sounded just as good, if not better, than the predator calling sequence on CD that I have.  Very nice!

Awesome Matt!!!! I think that mixed with a little bush-rattling will allow me to see more squirrel in the mid-day trips thru the sticks smile

Send the pay/ship details and we are in business!

Thanks for taking the time to make a video and of course for working on the project so quickly smile

JW, I won't be able to make it to the IPC.  I will still be recovering and skinning yotes from my contest the week before.
