For members who would like to complete a product review to be posted on the MHS main pages, please use the following guidelines.

Eligible products:  Most any product that can be used directly or indirectly for hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, backpacking, etc. is eligible.  This could be anything from a new pair of hiking boots to a new ATV, or a new pocketknife to a new spotting scope.  As outdoorsmen/women, we use a lot of different products to make our trips and adventures more enjoyable, easier, safer, and more memorable, so there are many items out there that will qualify.  Let’s just try to be fair and make sure we are evaluating NEW items, and not something that is already 10 years old and has 10 years worth of wear and tear on it already.

Be honest in your evaluation.  Remember, there are other outdoorsman/woman who will read your review and possibly depend on it in helping them make a purchase decision.  Try to remain objective at all times and at no time should you compromise your safety in order to test a product for these reviews.

Just a quick note – It may not be possible for us to use and publish each and every review that is submitted.  Please do not take it personally if we do not publish your review.  We will try our best to use the most relevant, most complete, and most interesting reviews.  There are obviously some products that more people would find useful than others and it is reviews on those products that we are most likely to publish.

Please completely answer all of the following questions that apply to the product you are reviewing.  You may copy and paste these questions into a PM here on the forums, and upon completion, PM the complete results to me, or if you would prefer, you can put them into an email and send them to me at webmaster@midwesthuntingsource.com.  Please DO NOT post your review here in this thread at any time.  Feel free to post any questions you have to this thread or send me a PM with any questions if you would like.

We still need product reviews for the main pages.  I know some of you have bought some new gear, so help us and your fellow outdoorsmen/women out and write a review! cheesy

I will be doing a review on the new game cam I just bought, but it's gonna need a few weeks of field service before I'll know much.

That would be great, Tim!  That should be a very useful review to add to the site.

Does anyone have anything new to review?  Keep the product reviews in mind.

I will try later this fall to send a couple......but to be truthful my first priority is to my website and or magazines I write for. Is a copy of a review that I have published good enough or does it have to be unique to MHS?

Kelly, if it is something that you already have written, I suspect it would be pretty easy for me to publish it using the same structure that I use for our other reviews (as long as that would be okay with you).  But yes, we'd love to use whatever you would want to contribute.  No hurry.  Just whenever you feel like it would be great.  Thanks!

BTW - Your updated website is looking great! smile

Well guys I am certainly willing to contribute them.........I will mostly give reviews on 'good stuff' but in some cases will give you a review on junk as well. Have to be careful on the junk reviews.....some can come back to haunt if you know what I mean.

Glad you like the website.......a constant work in progress and I will have some really neat new pages etc by late November......so busy guiding right now.
