Hunting: As South Dakota rolls near the end of their tag draws, I believe the end of Aug. is the end of most. I'm just wondering who is going to get what and where. This year I'm going to crossing my fingers on a couple of licenses but have several already. For instance I have already been drawn for an SD Elk tag (Anterless), an any deer state wide bow tag w/ two.......(more)

Fishing: Well friends it's a good thing the MHS fishing weekend wasn't last weekend, because the lakes up big time. It has eclipsed the 93 flood pool elevation by 1.1ft. as of this morning. The "not-so-secret" island had 26 more feet of water over it than it did last time we were all together. Only four launch areas were open, the rest were closed due to high water.......(more)

Shooting: I've been trying to decide on my next Contender Barrel and kind of gave up for now. I have to think on it some more.

Anyway, TK's newly acquired Ruger .44 Magnum got me to thinking that I do not currently have a Center Fire Revolver.

I have kicked around the idea for years of a Single Action Center Fire Revolver. I have had a .357 Ruger Blackhawk, a couple Dan Wesson & Smith & Wesson .357, a couple Smith & Wesson .44 Magnums and a couple Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnums over the years......(more)
