Hunting: Just a reminder, to borrow a phrase from one of St. Louis' favorite sons, "it ain't over til it's over". I was still in my "every 20 minute" call mode when at 12:20 yesterday afternoon this fine gobbler erupted behind me. He hadn't finished his gobble before I had launched myself 90 degrees to his side of the tree and faced his direction for the anticipated soon-to-be promenade. Fishing: Was pleased to limit out in only an hour of fishing at Smithville this afternoon. I was honestly expecting last years 8 3/4" fish to still be there frustrating me. I hit 15 keepers, all 10"+ fish, in less than an hour from the same 50 feet of bank. It is hard to leave a spot when you have.......(more)

Shooting: Just for kicks & giggles I shot several types of ammo last Saturday. I wanted to know what would work good for hunting squirrels. I have used CCI SGB 40 gr Truncated Cone in the past but no one stocks them anymore. I am interested in head shots, so I wanted something that would not be all over the place.......(more)
